November 21, 2024
On October 31, we hosted a sponsored session at the CBI Annual Meeting 2024 titled, “Accelerating Drug Discovery Innovation in the Tokyo-1 Community: The Future of Drug Discovery Unlocked by Cutting-Edge GPU Computing.”
Recently, the use of AI has been expanding across various industries, particularly overseas. Drug discovery research is no exception. Tokyo-1 provides a comprehensive offering of computational resources, drug discovery DX solutions and community, with the aim of building a drug discovery innovation hub. During the session, our CTO (Hiroki Makiguchi), provided an overview of Tokyo-1, followed by presentations from representatives of the companies participating in Tokyo-1: Kazuya Nagaoka of Astellas Pharma, Masakuni Kurono of Ono Pharmaceutical, and Takayuki Serizawa of Daiichi Sankyo. They shared their efforts in drug discovery research using Tokyo-1 and GPU supercomputing, followed by a panel discussion focused on the challenges and prospects of future drug discovery.
